West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University successfully conducted large-scale career guidance activities at Secondary Schools №14, №18, №22, №23, №25, №26, as well as at school-lyceum №14 named after Manshuk Mametova. The main purpose of these meetings was to help graduating students choose their future professions correctly, provide comprehensive information about modern востребованные specialties, and introduce students to the educational opportunities offered by the university.
Qualified specialists, professors, and representatives of the admissions committee of West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University took part in the career guidance events and held open-format meetings with students. During the meetings, university representatives provided detailed information about professions in demand in the labor market, modern educational programs, opportunities available to students, academic mobility programs, international partnerships, grant-based education opportunities, and the advantages of student life.
During the events, students were able to ask questions of interest and receive clear and useful answers from the specialists. Special attention was paid to choosing a profession based on personal interests and abilities, analyzing labor market demands, and properly planning future professional development. In addition, the university staff introduced students to the institution’s material and technical facilities, laboratories, organization of practical classes, and opportunities for participation in scientific projects.
School students actively participated in the career guidance meetings and shared their opinions about future professions. The meetings were held in an open dialogue format, which increased students’ interest in the world of professions. The informative presentations and motivational advice from university specialists made a strong impression on the graduates.
