On June 17, 2026, a celebratory event marking the 20th anniversary of the American Corner in Uralsk was held at the Kh. Yesenzhanov West Kazakhstan Regional Library for Children and Youth. West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology was represented by Samal Amangeldiyevna Mashanova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Acting First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Affairs; Bakit Adilgereyevna Urazova, Deputy Head of the Department for Research and Digitalization at the Institute of Education and Management; and Ekaterina Vasilyevna Tikhonyuk, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies.

As part of the long-standing cooperation between West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology and the American Corner, a variety of joint educational, cultural, and outreach initiatives have been implemented to promote international cooperation and enhance the language competence of young people.

During the event, West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of Colin Guard, Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Astana, in recognition of the fruitful cooperation and the University’s contribution to the implementation of joint projects.
