Currently, the Institute of Education and Management of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University operates the Center for retraining, advanced training and additional education. This is a structural unit that implements the procedure for conducting advanced training courses and pedagogical retraining. To date, the number of students who have successfully completed our courses and received certificates has exceeded 500. In the future, it is planned to open and increase the number of advanced training courses on modern topics needed by our society. We currently accept students for the following short-term and long-term advanced training courses:
– Implementation of inclusive education in updated educational content;
– Organization of the educational process in preschool organizations in conditions of updated educational content;
– Modern competencies of school librarians in information and library services;
– Effective use of modern digital resources in education;
– 1C-Accounting and tax accounting.
The second direction of additional education at our university is pedagogical retraining courses. Since September 2023, pedagogical retraining courses have opened and started operating at the Institute of Education and Management. PR0013 – The educational program for students of pedagogical retraining courses was reviewed and registered on June 22, 2023 according to the list of educational programs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of this course is to meet the existing need for teaching staff by retraining specialists with non-teaching special professional education. Specialists with special professional education are allowed to work as teachers in their specialty after completing a special course, in accordance with the amendment to the legislation. The same opportunity can be used by specialists of other specialties who have non-pedagogical special professional knowledge.
We would like to emphasize that our students who complete these courses can change their field of activity and imagine themselves in a new way. Duration of training – 6 months. Students who successfully complete the retraining course will be awarded a state certificate. Currently, our university offers pedagogical retraining courses in six directions:
– Kazakh language and literature
– Russian language and literature in non-Russian speaking schools
– Foreign language: two foreign languages
– Story
– Computer science
– Preschool education and upbringing.
Advanced training courses are conducted in online/offline format, and pedagogical retraining courses are conducted only offline.
