On May 19, 2026, the “ETHNO QOBYZ SOUND” creative evening was held at the Atameken Concert Hall. The event was organized by Gaukhar Zhangaliyeva, head of the “Kobyz” student circle at the Institute of Education and Management of West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University (WKITU), and a laureate of republican competitions.

The special guests of the evening were Kundyz Kalambayeva, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan and holder of the “Kurmet” order who came from Almaty, as well as Akylbek Bektasov, a kyuishi and laureate of international and republican competitions.

On behalf of the educational institution, the vice-rector for educational affairs of the university, A.I. Abekeshev, participated in the creative evening. He conveyed congratulations from the university staff and presented a bouquet of flowers.
