On February 18, 2026, to enhance legal awareness among students and prevent cybercrime, the Department of Finance and Economics organized a preventive seminar “Digital security: based on law and order”, as part of the “Law and Order” project. Participants included Anarkhan Raimovna Kuttygalieva, a lawyer in the West Kazakhstan Region and a PhD in the national project “Karyzsyz Kogam”, as well as Muldir Kairatovna Nurkayatova and Aidana Sabitovna Akhbalina, inspectors of the Public Safety Department of the Abai police department of the Uralsk police department. The event covered administrative offenses (disturbing the peace, petty hooliganism), fights between minors, bullying, the legal and social consequences of addictions (tobacco, alcohol, drugs), and online offenses. Participants learned about types of cybercrime (phishing, online fraud, cyberbullying, illegal distribution of personal data). They also learned about administrative and criminal penalties for offenses committed online.

Students expressed their opinions and discussed real-life situations. A video about cybersecurity and common crimes among adolescents was shown and analyzed. Participants were given practical examples of identifying signs of online fraud. The event, which was actively attended by students, demonstrated high interest in the topic and became an important preventative measure aimed at preventing crime among adolescents, improving legal and financial literacy, and fostering responsible citizenship.
