On September 22, 2025, the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety for students of the 1st, 2nd courses of the 6V09103/6V09104 Veterinary Department held a practice-oriented lesson in the discipline “Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology” at the ZooDoctor Veterinary Center. The practice-oriented lesson was conducted by the chief physician of the ZooDoctor veterinary center E.V. The clinic employs experienced veterinarians – a team of certified specialists with extensive experience, ready to help animals in any situation. State-of-the-art equipment is used, including laboratory tests, radiography and ultrasound, allowing a quick and accurate diagnosis.
A practice-oriented lesson at the ZooDoctor veterinary center gave students the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice: get acquainted with various dosage forms and drugs, consider real examples of their clinical use, practice skills in assisting with intoxications and the correct use of medicines in animals.
The main purpose of the lesson was to develop practical competencies among students, including: the study of modern veterinary drugs, their classification, release forms and features of use in different types of animals; mastering the principles of calculating dosages and methods of administering drugs; analysis of clinical cases of poisoning, their sources and characteristic symptoms; development of algorithms for emergency care and the use of methods of specific therapy.
Conducting practice-oriented classes contributes to the professional development of graduates of the Veterinary Department and ensures their successful adaptation to future activities in production.
