On September 21, 2025, first-year students of the Institute of Education and Technology at ZKITU, enrolled in the educational program 6B07205 – Food Technology and Safety, visited the Khadisha Bokeeva Regional Kazakh Drama Theater.
The future specialists in the field of food technology and safety watched with great interest the stage play “Jamilya”, based on the famous work by Chingiz Aitmatov. The performance vividly portrayed the hardships faced by rural communities on the home front during wartime. At the heart of the story is the character of Jamilya, a young village woman and one of the first Eastern women who, despite societal pressure, refused to be a prisoner of outdated customs and traditions. Instead, she made an independent choice in favor of her own will, freedom, and heartfelt desire. The play revealed her innocent yet tragic fate, filled with emotional depth and inner strength.
The theatrical production allowed students to engage with a classic of world literature, immerse themselves in the atmosphere of national theatrical art, and broaden their cultural horizons. Such events contribute to the moral and spiritual development of young people, help form their aesthetic taste, and cultivate a lasting interest in the art of theatre.
