On January 30, 2023, the Department of Academic Activities held a methodological seminar «Development of innovative educational programs (major/minor)» for the teaching staff and members of the academic committee of the University.

The purpose of the methodological seminar: to provide methodological assistance to members of the academic committee for the development and implementation of innovative educational programs that meet modern requirements, to determine the possibilities of Major/Minor programs, as well as to exchange the experience of participants in the seminar on the formation and development of innovative educational programs.

The methodological seminar began with a welcoming speech by the first Vice-rector S.Mashanova and continued with an introduction to some regulatory changes in the field of science and higher education.

The speaker of this event, B. Kurmanbayeva, spoke about the transformation and continuous development of higher education in Kazakhstan, as well as about the tasks facing the university, gave a number of methodological recommendations for the development of innovative educational programs and the creation of Minor programs.

The theoretical part of the seminar expanded into the practical part concerning the issue «Formation of the purpose of innovative educational programs and learning outcomes». At the end of the methodological seminar, the participants presented the proposed names and learning outcomes of the upcoming innovative EP and Minor programs.
