On January 31, in the central library of our city, a cultural and educational hour “Jewellery Art – the Beauty of Traditional Culture” was held, dedicated to the International Day of Jewelers. The event, organized to promote the Kazakh jewelry art and educate young people, was attended by senior lecturer of the Department of Philology, Culture and Teaching Methods of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University, Master Kazkenova G.U. and students of the 1st course of educational programs of the Kazakh language and literature, Pedagogy and methods of primary education, Cultural and leisure work, who received wide information about art.

The cultural and educational hour began with the video clip “Jewellery Art – the Body of National Culture”, dedicated to the art of jewelry. The master class, the purpose of which is to teach to appreciate the art of a jeweler, began with the acquaintance of students with Kazakh jewelry. The guest of the event, a jeweler, a member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan Sarmanbekov Samat Tolepbergenovich spoke about the intricacies of jewelry art, the technique of making products, the raw materials used, time, ornament-stones, and features of the jewelry art of the Western region. In addition, he acquainted with video materials and samples of jewelry. The event ended with a review of a specially designed book exhibition. The jewelry art of the Kazakh people originates from ancient times, from the Saka era, from the traditions of our culture. Fine works of craftsmen, blacksmiths, jewelers demonstrate a deep immersion in the world of beauty of our people, its aesthetic attitude. The event aimed to educate readers about beauty and grace, elegance, purity and aesthetics through this art. At the end of the evening, 1st year students of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University registered as library readers.
