On February 28, 2022, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs,6 Master of Ecology Abekeshev Ayanbek Imanbaevich with a report “The state of preventive explanatory work to reduce the influence of the ideology of destructive religious movements on the youth environment, including students of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University” took part in an international expert meeting “The role of the civil sector in countering terrorism and extremism among young people: the experience of Russia and Kazakhstan” with the participation of representatives of universities of Russia and Kazakhstan, organized by the Astrakhan State Technical University, the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian countries, the Association of Experts and Specialists in social Activities “Expert Community of Social Initiatives”, SRO National Association “Union of Psychotherapists and Psychologists”, “All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League”, the Center for International Studies “Caspian-Eurasia” with the support of the Ministry of International Relations of the Astrakhan region, representatives of public authorities, NGOs, the media.

The objectives of the event are:

• Involvement of the scientific and expert community in the development of measures to counter the spread of the ideology of terrorism and extremism, especially among young people.
• Formation of students’ civic position of active counteraction to the ideology of terrorism and extremism.
• Strengthening the Eurasian integration processes through the formation of youth values.
