On February 28, 2022, students of 1-3 courses of the educational program 6B11201 “Life safety and Environmental Protection” of the Faculty of Engineering and Humanities of ZKITU visited and got acquainted with the work of the laboratory of Ecological and Analytical Control of the Department of Ecology of the West Kazakhstan Region of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the excursion is to give students a general idea of modern laboratories, to acquaint them with the structure of the organization, with the conditions and specifics of working in it. Excursions to the production help to understand the essence of the future profession and increase interest in it.

The event was organized by the head of the Department of Ecology and Biotechnology, Ph.D. Baitlesova L.I., Ph.D. Khon V.N. and senior lecturer, Master Murzabekova Zh.A. The head of the Analytical laboratory of the Department of Ecology PO Ismailova N.T. familiarized with safety techniques, demonstrated devices for measuring emissions into atmospheric air, soil and water sources. Also, the laboratory specialists showed methods for selecting soil analysis (using the envelope and five points method), water. The laboratory staff explained in detail to the students that activities in this field are responsible and high-quality education can be achieved only by supplementing theoretical knowledge with practical work. Having seen the work in production, future specialists have increased respect for the profession being studied. At the end of the tour, the students thanked for the informative event, learned a lot of interesting and useful things.
