On November 15, 2024, the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety held a master class “Gamification in Education: how to include games in the educational process of veterinary specialties.” It was conducted by associate Professor, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences K.K. Keikieva, senior lecturer, Master of Veterinary Sciences R.I. Akatova and senior lecturer of the department N.O. Abatova. The master class consisted of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explained what gamification is, its basic principles, advantages and disadvantages, and the effectiveness of gamification from the point of view of teachers and students. In the practical part, step-by-step instructions were given on how to develop an educational game and implement it into the learning process. Then all the participants of the master class participated in the intellectual game-competition “Experts in microbiology”. 3 teams were formed, which participated in various competitions. Their work was evaluated by a jury of experienced teachers, doctors and candidates of sciences. All the teams showed high scores and emerged victorious in this game. Then the teachers gave feedback and expressed their positive feedback about the master class.
