On February 23, 2026, a guest lecture titled “Modern Trends and Directions in the Development of the Energy Sector” was held for students of the educational program 6B07102 – “Electric Power Engineering.” The invited speaker was Balzhanov Abay Yelemesovich, Occupational Health and Safety Manager at ЗапКазРЭК LLP.

During the lecture, current issues in the development of the energy industry were discussed, including the implementation of innovative technologies, digitalization of power systems, improvement of energy efficiency, and the strengthening of industrial safety requirements. Special attention was paid to occupational health and safety, prevention of workplace injuries, and compliance with safety regulations at energy enterprises.

Abay Yelemesovich also spoke in detail about his professional activities within the company, shared his practical experience in the field of occupational health and safety, provided examples from real industrial practice, and highlighted the specific features of working in the energy sector. His presentation helped students better understand the requirements for future specialists and the importance of responsibility in the profession of a power engineer.
