On December 3, 2025, a table tennis tournament was organized among the students of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University as part of the World AIDS Day. The main purpose of the event was to encourage students to lead a healthy lifestyle, increase awareness about HIV/AIDS, and promote the importance of sports.
The competition was held in the university’s small sports hall, with students from various institutes participating, demonstrating strong interest and solid playing skills. Throughout the tournament, participants showcased a high level of preparation, speed, accuracy, and tactical ability. The matches were conducted according to the Olympic system, and the strongest players advanced to the finals.
The results of the highly competitive tournament are as follows:
- 1st place – Mutigolla Adambek
- 2nd place – Oktyabryov Akylbek
- 3rd place – Yermukhanbetov Adilkhan
The winners were awarded special diplomas on behalf of the university. In addition, informational explanations were provided to students regarding HIV prevention, protection methods, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The event was organized by the university’s “Barys” Sports Club.
Overall, the tournament increased students’ interest in sports and had a positive impact on promoting a culture of health among the youth.
