As part of the program to develop student sports and promote a healthy lifestyle, a meeting titled “The Path to Victory: A Motivational Meeting for Fourth-Year Students with Junior Years” was held in the assembly hall of the Institute of Education and Management at West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University on December 4, on the eve of Kazakhstan’s Independence Day. The meeting was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Computer Science. The meeting featured first- to third-year students and fourth-year student athletes who have achieved high athletic results: Madina Alimanova, a world champion in karate, champion of Kazakhstan, and winner of the Asian Championships; and Ilya Kozlovskiy, champion of Kazakhstan in orienteering and winner of various international track and field competitions.
The event began with a presentation of the athletes’ achievements. A LED screen displayed their key achievements, photographs, diplomas, medals, and brief summaries of their athletic performances. This allowed the students to gain an in-depth understanding of the senior students’ careers and see examples of real-life achievements that can be achieved through hard work, discipline, and perseverance.
Following the presentations, the athletes addressed the audience. They shared stories of their athletic journeys, their first steps, challenges, and victories. They also shared their experiences overcoming obstacles, the secrets of motivation, and the importance of balancing academics and training effectively. The athletes paid special attention to the role of family support, mentors, and coaches in achieving high results. In an atmosphere of open dialogue, the young athletes inspired the audience to develop their own abilities and strive for new achievements.
At the end of the meeting, the student-athletes received letters of gratitude from the university rector. The event served as a shining example of how personal athletic experience can motivate and help foster an active, goal-oriented, and healthy student community.
