On November 25, 2024, senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology Ilyasova R.K. organized a workshop on the topic “The role of active methodological approaches in teaching Pedagogy” for students of educational programs 6B01201-Preschool Education and Upbringing, 6B01101-Pedagogy and Psychology, as well as teachers of the department.

The main goal of the workshop was to provide participants with a deep understanding of Bloom’s taxonomy and develop skills for its effective use in the educational process. Participants were shown how to apply Bloom’s taxonomy to develop critical thinking, improve the process of knowledge testing and assessment, as well as to stimulate the thinking abilities of students.

In the theoretical part of the seminar, senior lecturer Ilyasova R.K. revealed the essence and significance of Bloom’s taxonomy, described in detail each level of the taxonomy (knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, evaluation, synthesis) from a pedagogical point of view.

In the practical part, the participants completed tasks corresponding to different levels of Bloom’s taxonomy, based on real educational situations. The tasks were aimed at developing critical thinking and creativity. The participants were divided into groups, each of which completed tasks according to Bloom’s taxonomy, and then shared the results with other groups.

In conclusion, the participants shared their impressions. A general analysis of the influence of Bloom’s taxonomy on the educational process was conducted, and recommendations were given on effective methods of assessing knowledge and improving the level of students’ thinking.

The practical seminar contributed to the exchange of experience between the participants, strengthening their knowledge and skills. This event became an important step in improving the application of Bloom’s taxonomy in teaching pedagogical disciplines.
