Of genuine interest was the visit on the 13th of September 2024 to the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of History and Local Lore by 1st year students in the educational programs “Architecture” and “Construction”, organized by senior teachers of the department of general education disciplines Sultangalieva A.A. and Mametanova S.T., Isagulova T.R.
The Uralsk Museum, founded in 1836, is one of the oldest in Kazakhstan; its exhibits are extremely rare both for scientists and for everyone who cares about the past. The museum’s fund includes more than one hundred thousand exhibits, the oldest of which date back to the 5th–4th centuries. B.C.
Walking through the halls of the museum and getting acquainted with the exhibitions, you can see evidence of the life, struggle and creation of our fellow countrymen at various stages of the history of the region. The history of the Bukeev Horde, the reformatory deeds of Zhangirkhan, the establishment of Soviet power in the region, the development of virgin lands, the socio-economic development of the region, the proclamation of the Independence of sovereign Kazakhstan and many other memorable eras appear before the eyes as if they were living features.
By becoming interested in the events that took place on the territory of the Urals, you clearly realize your involvement in the history of the Motherland, since this is certainly connected with your loved ones, with your ancestry, with the village, city, republic where you live.
“The emotions are indescribable, of course, now we will look at many things with different eyes!” – this is how Elizaveta Lyakhova expressed her impression of visiting the museum, and everyone who visited the excursion agreed with her.
