The modern hotel and restaurant complex occupies an important place in the social sphere of the country and contributes to meeting the primary needs of travelers in terms of accommodation and food. Without hotels and restaurants, it is impossible to create a modern tourism industry.

Hotel and restaurant enterprises are an integral part of the service sector. The provision of these services has a positive impact on financial and economic activity and plays an important role in improving the efficiency of social production.

At present, there are many high-class hotels in Kazakhstan that are in dire need of managers of various levels. However, the process of training qualified specialists for hotels and restaurants still needs to be optimized. The Faculty of Languages and Management of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University trains specialists in the hotel industry and tourism.

Educational and practical classes for students of the educational program 6B11101 – Tourism are held at the branches of the department “Accounting and Finance”: PUSHKIN hotel, PRESTIGE hotel, regional center for youth tourism and ecology. Students receive practical skills and knowledge in sports tourism, hotel and restaurant business.
