On April 14, 2026, representatives of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technological University appeared as guests on the program “Sizben Qyzyqty” on TDK-42 TV channel. The broadcast featured scholars from the Department of Transport and Technologies — Khairat Turlybayev, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor; Larisa Churikova, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Associate Professor; and Lenur Nurgaliyev, Master’s degree holder and Senior Lecturer. They discussed key issues in the development of engineering education, the region’s research potential, and the implementation of digital technologies in the transport sector.
During the discussion, Khairat Turlybayev spoke about the university’s development history and the strategic role of road transport in Kazakhstan’s economy. He also addressed road safety challenges and noted the growing demand for engineers with strong analytical skills.
Larisa Churikova emphasized the importance of training highly qualified engineers through the department’s core educational programs. She highlighted that active student involvement in research and participation in real scientific projects are essential for mastering the profession. She also noted the university’s systematic support for researchers, including funding for international publications and the organization of conferences that help integrate the academic community into the global scientific space.
Lenur Nurgaliyev discussed modern educational trends and his research on the application of artificial intelligence in transport systems. He also pointed out the high level of students’ digital literacy and the importance of their participation in research activities and academic competitions for developing teamwork skills.
At the end of the program, the participants noted that the combination of extensive experience, international cooperation, and innovative technologies enables the university to remain a leading center for training highly qualified technical specialists ready to meet the challenges of modern industry.
