On April 10, 2023, within the framework of the Week of Science at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Technologies as a Key Factor in the Development and Modernization of the Economy” was held conjointly with foreign universities. The moderator of the conference was Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Askar Makhmudov.
The vice-rector for scientific work and international relations of WKITU, Candidate of agricultural sciences, associate professor Zhubantaev Izimgali Nurymovich, delivered a welcoming speech.

The conference discussed topical issues of the development of innovative technologies, digitalization of the economy and considered proposals for their modernization.
For faculty of the Department of Economics and Management, participation in the conference is another opportunity to improve the educational process, develop research activities at the faculty, update career guidance work with educational institutions and industrial enterprises.
Face-to-face and remote participation of scientists from higher educational institutions of Russia and Kazakhstan made it possible to conduct a constructive dialogue, exchange views, establish new professional contacts and outline prospects for further cooperation.
