To develop a sense of patriotism, on the 13th of April 2023, an associate professor of the Department of General Education Disciplines Asima Uabieva, organized a visit to the museum of memory of the brave machine gunner Manshuk Mametova, which is located in the administrative center of West Kazakhstan region in Uralsk. In the exposition of the museum, first-year students of the educational program 6B07301 “Architecture” present everyday life (chests, sewing machine “Zinger”, samovars) and the interior of city apartments of the 30s of the last century. All these items allow us to understand how people lived a hundred years ago. And the most important exhibits in this house are letters, Manshuk’s diaries, her photographs, books, a soldier’s helmet, a box for a machine gun belt and a commemorative flask. The culmination of the exhibition is the only diorama in Kazakhstan “The Immortal Feat of Manshuk”, authored by M.Ananyev. The title of Hero of the Soviet Union of the Guard to Senior Sergeant Mametova Manshuk Zhiengalievna was awarded by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on the 1st of March 1944 posthumously. She was the first military girl from Kazakhstan to be awarded this high award. The feat of our countryman will forever remain in our hearts.
