On September 20, 2023, Akim of Uralsk Mirzhan Satkanov met with the staff and students of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University.
The meeting began with an exhibition of scientific and educational services of the educational institution.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Work and International Relations of BKIT Izimgali Zhubantayev provided information about the opportunities for university scientists to contribute to the implementation of programs for the development of education and the industrial complex of our region, and also offered to familiarize themselves with the exhibition.
During the examination of the exhibition, Ph.D. Kanat Amangeldievich Narikov with his students of the educational program “Architecture” proposed to the mayor a project ready for commercialization: “Reconstruction of a pedestrian bridge on the territory of the Ural railway station” and the technology of ceramic bricks based on local raw materials and industrial waste for the improvement of urban areas.
Next, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences Absatirov Gaisa Garapovich will talk about the types of scientific support for farms using modern, promising biotechnological methods for increasing the growth of cattle in the western region, and as part of the implementation of import substitution, he provided information that our university, together with the Epsilon company, opened the production of veterinary drugs against parasites “Disalar” and “Estrozol A”.
At the exhibition, Mukhtar Zinur Gafuruly introduced the city akim to the work carried out under a grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for 2022-2024 by the research group of the department of “Pedagogy and Psychology” of the university under the leadership of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Svetlana Mendygalievna Bakhisheva, and said that this project is aimed at transformation of education, one of the current trends of our time.
At the exhibition, Mirzhan Satkanov got acquainted with the scientific activities of Sabyr Murat Bokenbayuly, head of the Center for Altai Studies and Turkology, Doctor of Philology, a famous scientist in the field of Turkology.
University professor Kalmenov Murat Dabylovich introduced the mayor of the city to historically valuable relics found during archaeological excavations conducted under his leadership, and said that all work is carried out on the basis of a state license, which allows for archaeological and scientific restoration work on historical and cultural monuments, located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He noted that as a result of his work, an archaeological museum was opened at our university.
Candidate of Technical Sciences Sadykova Lazzat Anatolyevna introduced the akim to the currently relevant “Effective use of pastures, the use of electric fences to ensure safety on roads and railways,” prepared by order of farms. Mirzhan Munaidaruly said that this project can be recommended for use on dangerous sections of roads of republican significance and proposed to prepare a business project.
At the meeting, the city akim asked the youth to ask their questions and suggestions without hesitation.
During the event, students expressed their thoughts on library issues, disciplinary and industry Olympiads. He also highlighted current problems in the field of public transport.
In turn, the head of the city said that he would carefully consider the issues and proposals raised by teachers and students and make appropriate decisions.
