Silver University is a global movement aimed at ensuring the successful adaptation of older people to modern life, their self-education and self-improvement.

The aim of the project is to expand traditional forms of education and stimulate the social activity of the older generation within the framework of the society’s development strategy.

At the Department of Veterinary Technosphere Safety, students take courses in the following areas: Chemistry in everyday life, Veterinary Medicine and agricultural management, Physical therapy, Algorithm of actions in an emergency situation.

During the course, students got acquainted with the influence of chemistry on everyday aspects of life, from cooking to self-care, studied the chemical reactions that occur around us, as well as performed exercises to maintain physical health and learned how to provide first aid – artificial ventilation and non-direct heart massage.

According to the module “Veterinary Medicine and agricultural Management”, the course participants were introduced to the laboratory of veterinary sanitary expertise, where agricultural products were tested to determine safety indicators.

As a result of physical therapy and first aid courses in an emergency, the older generation will be able to improve their quality of life, improve physical activity, thereby prolong active longevity and be useful to society and their loved ones.
