On May 5-6, 2026, in accordance with the institute’s career guidance plan, an on-site career guidance event was organized in the Chingirlau district under the leadership of A.K. Dnekeshev, PhD in Veterinary Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Veterinary and Technosphere Safety at the Institute of Industrial Technologies. Meetings were held with graduates of two educational institutions: the L. Klyshev Chilik Secondary School and the Chingirlau Secondary School. The main objective of the on-site career guidance event is to prepare school graduates to make an informed choice of further education and successfully pursue career goals.

At the L. Klyshev Chilik Secondary School, Dametken Tulegalievna, responsible for career guidance, organized meetings with 11th-grade students. Thirty-five graduating students from four classes participated in the event. At the Chingirlau School, career guidance was conducted jointly with Islu Kuanyshevna, responsible for career guidance, where 24 students from three graduating classes participated.

During the meetings, the students were given an introductory talk about the university’s activities, and videos were shown about educational programs and prospects for higher education. Particular attention was paid to preparation for the UNT, the required scores, admission requirements, and in-demand specialties. The graduates actively asked questions and expressed interest in the educational opportunities and conditions of study at the university. Informational brochures containing information about specialties, admission rules, and the benefits of studying at the university were distributed to the meeting participants.

The career guidance program helped raise graduates’ awareness of vocational education opportunities, foster interest in their chosen fields of study, and strengthen collaboration between schools and universities. Such events are crucial for young people’s career self-determination and help prospective students make an informed choice about their future profession.
