At the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering, Senior Lecturer and Master of Technical Sciences M.K. Kiikbayev conducted an open practical class for students of group ND-31O on the topic «Preparation of Gas for Transportation. Gas Distribution Station» as part of the course «Oil and Gas Pipelines».
The open class was well-structured, with the primary goal of explaining the fundamentals of gas preparation for transportation and the operation of gas distribution stations, as well as developing practical skills in this area.
During the lesson, M.K. Kiikbayev drew the students’ attention to the relevance of the topic and organized the session using various methods and techniques, making it both engaging and effective. Methods such as crossword puzzles, the “Crocodile” technique, interactive technologies, practical tasks, and both individual and group assignments were applied, supported by didactic materials.
What made the class particularly compelling was the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical tasks, which facilitated the development of professional competencies essential for the students’ future careers. At the end of the session, students shared their thoughts and evaluated their level of understanding of the topic.
