The Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety, within the framework of the School of Pedagogical Excellence of the Institute of Industry Technologies at ZKITU, organized and held a methodological seminar on December 24, 2025, entitled «Methods of Teaching Specialized Disciplines within the Educational Programs of the Department».

The main goal of the event was to enhance the effectiveness and quality of the educational process.

During the seminar, it was emphasized that the use of diverse teaching methods helps reduce fatigue and overcome monotony in classes, activates students’ cognitive engagement, and fosters their initiative and involvement. Students and master’s degree candidates act not only as listeners but also become active participants in the educational process.

Faculty members of the department delivered reports and presentations demonstrating modern, practice-oriented approaches to teaching specialized disciplines. These included the implementation of the case method with analysis of professional situations, project-based learning with the defense of mini-projects, the use of the «flipped classroom» format, simulation-based classes modeling industrial and veterinary processes, as well as the organization of problem-oriented discussions.

Such events, aimed at exchanging professional experience, contribute to the development of pedagogical excellence among faculty members and promote the integration of modern educational technologies into the academic process.
