On April 17, a meeting of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University. The department is responsible for the following bachelor’s and master’s degree programs: 6B01201 – Preschool Education and Upbringing, 6B01101 – Pedagogy and Psychology, 6B03101 – Psychology, and 7M01101 – Pedagogy and Psychology. The meeting was devoted to the development of educational programs for the 2026–2027 academic year on the topic “Current Issues and Directions in the Development of Educational Programs” with the participation of stakeholders (employers, students, graduates, representatives of public organizations and professional associations) as well as members of the Academic Committee.
The discussion of educational programs was attended by the teaching staff of the department and heads of university structural units: the first vice-rector and vice-rector for academic and methodological affairs of WKITU, S.A. Mashanova; the Director of the Institute of Education and Management, A.S. Tasmagambetov; the Head of the Department for Planning and Organization of the Educational Process, A.U. Tulegenova; as well as employers, students, master’s students, graduates, and representatives of public organizations and professional associations: the Head of the State Communal Kindergarten No. 7 “Ainalayin” – A.S. Kenzhegarina; the Head of State Communal Kindergarten No. 10 “Balapan” – B.T. Abdulova; the Head of State Communal Kindergarten No. 8 “Arai” – M.T. Tulesheva; the Head of the private preschool institution “Aiyana” – M.T. Buentayeva; the Director of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence – L.V. Obydenkova; the Head of the Educational Program “Pedagogy and Psychology” at West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov – E.K. Abdiraimova; the vice-rector of the Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Telecommunication Systems – A.M. Aimagambetova; the Director of the Uralsk Higher college of Humanities and Economics – Z.M. Gabdullina; the Director of Secondary School No. 17 – B.M. Karina; the Director of Secondary School No. 20 – N.K. Utegalieva; the Head of the City Psychological-Medical-Pedagogical Consultation Center – U.A. Satybaldieva; the Head of the Psychological-Pedagogical Correction Office of Uralsk – G.M. Galieva; and the Head of the Regional Psychological-Medical-Pedagogical Consultation – E.I. Tuyakov. All participants shared their suggestions.
Members of the Academic Committee also expressed their views on the need to update educational programs: PhD, Associate Professor N.Zh. Sultaniyazova; Candidate of Pedagogy, associate professor R.S. Kinzhekova; Candidate of Pedagogy, associate professor Sh.S. Nabidollina; Candidate of Pedagogy, associate professor G.K. Dzhonisova and Candidate of Pedagogy, associate professor A.S. Irgaliev.
During the meeting, participants discussed the development and updating of educational programs, taking into account staffing, information resources, material and technical support, and practical training. As a result of the meeting, it was proposed to introduce updates and amendments to the bachelor’s and master’s educational programs for the 2026–2027 academic year, as well as to develop a catalog of elective courses.
