On April 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the Department of Law of the Institute of Industrial Technologies, in auditorium No. 8 of the ZKITU academic building at 137/1 Pobeda Street, a meeting was held with final-year and third-year students and employers — representatives of the Department of Police and the Department of the Penal Correction System (DUIS) of the West Kazakhstan Region. The participants included Deputy Head for Personnel Policy of the Abai District Police Department of the Uralsk Police Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel N.T. Botanov; Chief Specialist of the Personnel and Educational Work Group of the DUIS of WKR, Justice Lieutenant Colonel S.S. Alimbayeva; Deputy Head of Institution No. 74 of the DUIS of WKR, Justice Major A.B. Khairullin; Senior Inspector of Personnel and Educational Work of Institution No. 28 of the DUIS of WKR, Justice Captain E.A. Ilyasova; and Senior Inspector of Personnel and Educational Work of Institution No. 27 of the DUIS of WKR, Police Lieutenant E.V. Galimova.
The moderator of the event — Head of the Compliance Service of the IIT, Associate Professor of the Department of Law, Candidate of Juridical Sciences, retired Police Colonel T.Kh. Rakhmetov — introduced the guests and conveyed the purpose of the meeting, which was to invite the graduates to employment opportunities offered by the visiting employers. He also emphasized that service in law enforcement agencies, aimed at ensuring the security of our country, has always been prestigious and honorable. As a result of close cooperation between the Department of Police and DUIS of WKR, based on concluded memorandums, these agencies actively assist in student education, internship placements, and subsequent employment.
During the meeting, DUIS representatives S.S. Alimbayeva, A.B. Khairullin, and E.A. Ilyasova informed students about the procedures for entering service in the DUIS, the tasks facing employees, the specifics of service in various units, and the social benefits package available to employees. They also invited interested students to consider serving in the DUIS of WKR. The meeting also featured an address by our 2023 graduate of the Department of Law — Guldana Kendibayeva, who works as a controller in the regime department of Institution No. 74 of the DUIS of WKR, and who has received positive reviews from her superiors.
Deputy Head for Personnel Policy of the Abai District Police Department of the Uralsk Police Department, N.T. Botanov, also spoke to students about the conditions for joining the internal affairs bodies (OVD) in positions such as investigator, inquiry officer, district police inspector, criminal investigator, and others. He emphasized the importance of police service in maintaining public order and combating crime. He spoke positively about the work of Police Senior Lieutenant M.Yu. Dmitrienko, an investigator of the Abai Police Department and a 2024 graduate of the Department of Law, and likewise invited students to consider police service.
The invited guests shared their experiences and career paths in the police and DUIS and answered all the students’ questions.
At the end of the meeting, moderator T.Kh. Rakhmetov, on behalf of the entire faculty and students of the Department of Law, thanked the employers for participating in the event, wished them success in their service, and congratulated them on the upcoming holidays — May 1st and Victory Day.
