On February 20, 2025, the literary competition “Snow Sparks of Poetry” was held at the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies. Participants of the competition are school teams: secondary schools No. 10, 43, 36, 18, 47. Director of the Institute of Education and Management c.h.s., Professor A.S. Tasmagambetov made a welcoming speech.
The competition was held from 3 stages.
Stage 1: Reader Competition.
Stage 2: quiz “This world of charm, this world of silver.”
Stage 3: discussion “To be or not to be classical poetry in the 21st century.”
During the competition between the stages, against the background of the winter landscape, songs to the verses of B. Pasternak “There will be no one in the house”, “The candle was burning on the table” performed by N. Noskov sounded at the presentation. In addition, in the performance of the student Ott Justina of the educational program “Music Education” she sang Oleg Mityaev’s song “How great that we all gathered here today”.
Abdulmanov A. A. c.p.s., associated professor introduced the schoolchildren and conducted an excursion in the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology. He told students about the demanded professions that meet modern requirements, and presented information about the educational programs of the Institute of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies.
According to the results of the literary competition, the 1st place was taken by the team of the Secondary School No. 36 named after M.B. Ikhsanov, the 2nd place – Secondary School No. 43, the 3rd place – Secondary School No. 47 named after Kadyr Myrza Ali. Prize-winners and active students of the competition were awarded with diplomas and letters of thanks, books.
