From 2 to 12 April 2024 in the West Kazakhstan Innovative Technological University held a traditional event – ‘Decade of Science – 2024’.
The purpose of the event is not only to attract to scientific activity, but also to stimulate teachers and students of the university to conduct new research in various fields of knowledge.
The event is timed to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Kanysh Satpayev, the first Kazakh scientist-geologist, statesman and public figure, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan. The name of Kanysh Satpayev is written in golden letters in the history of the country.
Due to the emergency situation associated with flooding that occurred in the WKO, the solemn event scheduled for 12 April was held on 14 May. The event was opened by the rector of the university Shakeshev B.T., who heartily congratulated all workers of science of Kazakhstan with the holiday. Bekbulat Temerzhanovich in his speech noted that many employees of the university are engaged in scientific work and that the development of science, innovation, technology – one of the main areas to improve the competitiveness of the country. To transform the country into a technological leader, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive work on the development of university science. Scientific events held at the university inspire young people to engage in scientific activities and stimulate to great scientific achievements and discoveries.
On the eve of the holiday, leading scientists of the university were awarded badges, certificates and letters of thanks from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their great contribution to the development of science and education, medals of the Association of Higher Education Institutions, letters of thanks from the rector of the university.
Within the framework of the holiday, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Zhubantaev I.N. congratulated the participants of the event with the holiday, presented the scientists of the university with letters of gratitude of Akims of WKO and Uralsk and diplomas of prize-winning students who became winners of the republican student subject Olympiads.
