On April 4, 2023, as part of the scientific decade at the Department of “Power Engineering, Automation and Computer Engineering”, a scientific seminar was held for students of the 2.3 course of OP 6B07102 “Electric Power Industry”, 6B07102 “Automation and Control (by industry) and 6B06104 “Computer Engineering and Information Systems” on the topic: “Digitalization and automation in the electric power industry: trends and development prospects”.

In his speech, the head of the department, V.P. Zakharov, noted the scientific achievements of the faculty’s scientists, thereby increasing the interest of students in scientific research. During the seminar, the teachers of the department shared innovations in the field of science, and told about the progress of the scientific work of the department.

The students at the seminar got acquainted with new technologies for the development of digital electric power and discussed the current problems they have to face. The meeting was held in the format of a round table.

The purpose of the event was to increase interest in science among students. Together with the teachers of the department, the prospects for the development of student scientific work were discussed.
