From November 25 to 28, 2024, CyberX Hackathon 2024 was held, organized by the West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology together with the Jaiq Hub Technopark. The hackathon became a bright event in the field of information technology, pentesting and cybersecurity, bringing together students and schoolchildren who are ready to solve urgent problems and develop innovative solutions.

The event is organized by the Department of Energy, Automation and Computer Engineering of the Institute of Industrial Technologies of the University, which actively promotes development in the field of IT and promotes the integration of new ideas and technologies into the educational process.

23 participants from 7 teams passed the 2nd stage, who successfully completed the tasks of the first stage and demonstrated a high level of training.

The hackathon was attended by teams from West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology (WKITU), West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir Khan, Ural College of Information Technology and Nazarbayev Intellectual School (NIS).

Winners of CyberX Hackathon 2024:

1st place – CyberNinjas team from West Kazakhstan University of Innovation and Technology – 150,000 tenge

2nd place – Young bratz team from Nazarbayev Intellectual School — 100,000 tenge

3rd place – 505 team from Nazarbayev Intellectual School — 50,000 tenge

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all the teams for their active participation and high level of preparation!

All the winners were awarded diplomas and cash prizes, which became a worthy recognition of their professionalism and hard work. In addition, all participants of the hackathon were awarded certificates for active participation.
