On November 29, 2024, a master class on the topic “Effective management of students’ scientific work and preparation of high-quality research” was held at the Department of Law of the Institute of Industrial Technologies. The event was held by the senior lecturer of the department M.A. Cherkesov.
The master class was aimed at improving the competencies of teachers and scientific supervisors in the field of organizing scientific work of students. The main focus is on methods of improving the quality of student research, their preparation for participation in scientific conferences, publications and competitions.
The master class began with a welcoming speech by M.A. Cherkesov, who outlined the main objectives of the event. During the session, the teachers discussed the key stages of student research management, including:
– formation of a topic and a scientific hypothesis;
– selection of the methodological base and relevant sources;
– developing students’ critical thinking and analysis skills;
– preparing students for public defense of scientific projects;
Special attention was paid to the practical aspects of the supervisor’s work: how to involve students in research activities, motivate them to achieve high results and ensure academic integrity in research.
Cherkesov M.A. demonstrated real cases from his practice, shared methodological recommendations and new approaches in preparing students to write scientific articles. The participants had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss difficult situations and share experiences.
The participants mastered practical tools to improve the effectiveness of scientific leadership, recommendations for improving the interaction between the supervisor and the student.
Teachers and scientific supervisors highly appreciated the event, noting its relevance and practical orientation. The knowledge gained will help participants to organize work with students more effectively and achieve high results in scientific activities.
