On December 5, 2024, within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation, Irina Zavyalova, waste specialist of the Center for Sustainable Development Public Foundation, held a guest lecture for students and teaching staff of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety of IOT ZKITU. The purpose of the event is to organize and conduct on-site monitoring of the efficiency of the separate waste collection system at the university.

The monitoring resulted in an assessment of the current state of the functioning system of separate waste collection in the ZKITU. The results obtained will serve as a basis for further recommendations on its improvement and development.

As part of her visit, Irina Nikolaevna also took part in an event to summarize the results of the competition «We are for clean Uralsk», aimed at raising environmental awareness of students. The competition, which was attended by first-year students of the university, became a vivid example of youth involvement in environmental initiatives. Irina Nikolaevna presented memorable prizes to the winners who won prizes.
