On January 23 of this year, students of the 4th year of the educational program “Law Enforcement” visited the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption (Anti-Corruption Service) in the West Kazakhstan region. The main purpose of the meeting is the formation of integrity and anti–corruption culture among students. During the meeting with the staff of the Department, the concept of the anti–corruption policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026 and the action plan for its implementation, which was approved by Presidential Decree on February 2, 2022, were explained.

In order to effectively combat corruption, it is necessary to increase the level and quality of legal explanatory work, eliminate legal illiteracy of the population. The population should fully know their rights, specific ways, what actions should be taken if any illegal actions are committed against them. The main goal today is to protect the constitutional order, conduct an effective, unified national policy in the fight against corruption, reduce the level of corruption and its manifestations in all spheres of the life of the state and citizens, strengthen public confidence in the state and its institutions.

During the meeting, the students not only listened with great interest, but also were able to get answers to their questions regarding corruption acts, the current anti-corruption legislation.
