On February 26, 2026, in accordance with the career guidance action plan in the city of Oral, the Department of Law of the Institute of Sectoral Technologies at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University held a career guidance meeting with graduating students of the Ural Higher Humanitarian and Economic College.
During the event, Senior Lecturer M.S. Dzhalmishev introduced prospective applicants to the university’s educational opportunities and provided comprehensive information on the content, structure, and advantages of the 6B04202 – “Jurisprudence” educational program. The specialties offered by the Institute of Sectoral Technologies were also presented, and informational materials on the educational programs were distributed.
According to the updated preliminary data, in the 2025–2026 academic year the graduating groups of the Ural Higher Humanitarian and Economic College include 11 students in the Kazakh-medium group and 8 students in the Russian-medium group. During the meeting, students received detailed information about the university admission procedures, document submission deadlines, admission requirements, and the specifics of the educational process.
Special attention was paid to the practice-oriented nature of the “Jurisprudence” educational program. In particular, it was noted that a number of core disciplines are taught by legal practitioners with real professional experience, and that distance learning technologies are widely used in the educational process. It was emphasized that this approach enables students to effectively combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
In addition, the high demand for legal professionals in the labor market, the main areas of professional activity, and career opportunities for university graduates were thoroughly explained. Students were also informed about opportunities to participate in research activities, subject Olympiads, debate clubs, the legal clinic, and social projects.
The conducted career guidance work had a positive impact on the graduates’ conscious choice of future profession and increased their interest in the field of Jurisprudence. At the end of the meeting, students received informational handouts containing details about the university’s educational programs, faculty features, and contact information of the career guidance center.
