An advisory hour on the topic “Gambling as a source of illegal activities” was conducted for first-year learners enrolled in the educational programs 6B02301 – Translation Studies and 6B01702 – Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies.

The main purpose of the event was to enhance learners’ legal awareness, prevent harmful habits, and foster a culture of responsibility.

During the advisory hour, the negative impact of gambling on individuals, families, and society was comprehensively explained. Special attention was given to the fact that gambling addiction may lead to financial difficulties, psychological stress, and involvement in illegal activities.

To highlight the relevance of the topic, prepared presentation and video materials were demonstrated, supported by statistical data and real-life examples. In addition, an open discussion was organized with learners, during which ways to prevent gambling-related problems were discussed. The learners actively shared their views and demonstrated strong engagement with the topic.
