On April 10, 2026, a joint meeting of the academic committee with employers was organized at the Department of Transport and Technologies of the Institute of Industrial Technologies of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University (WKITU).

During the meeting, the participants thoroughly discussed educational programs and the catalog of elective courses for the upcoming academic year. The event was aimed at improving the educational process, updating the content of education, and aligning it with the current labor market demands.

The meeting was attended by the university’s key partners, including JSC “UralskAgroRemMash,” LLP “KAZservice” (West Kazakhstan Regional Branch), as well as representatives of the “Uralsk Wagon Repair Depot” LLP under “AstanaRailwayServices.” The parties discussed issues related to improving the quality of industry-specific training and strengthening the link between education and production.

It is worth noting that the composition of the academic committee of the Institute of Industrial Technologies at WKITU is reviewed and approved annually. This practice contributes to enhancing the quality of education, taking into account the real needs of employers, and training competitive specialists.

The Department of Transport and Technologies consistently carries out systematic work in this area. In particular, when updating educational programs, the proposals of employers are taken into account, and elective courses that meet modern requirements are introduced.

Following the meeting, participants shared their suggestions regarding the department’s educational programs and put forward specific recommendations for improving the catalog of elective courses.
