On April 22, 2026, a cultural and educational evening entitled “Anyz bolgan aq sezim” (The Day of Love) was held at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University to promote national values, foster honesty among youth, and respect for feelings.

In April, Kazakhstan celebrates National Valentine’s Day, “Kozy Korpesh – Bayan Sulu,” dedicated to the heroes of an ancient Kazakh poem about love, fidelity, and devotion.

The lyrical epic “Kozy Korpesh – Bayan Sulu” tells the story of a tragic love story. The legend tells of lovers Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu, whose love has endured difficult trials. The love story of Kozy and Bayan is precious in its devotion to each other.

During the event, a Kazakh yurt and altybakan were set up, and national games were played. A theatrical performance and concert program were held, and city residents and university students were able to sample national cuisine (baursaq, kozhe, and plov). At the end of the evening, two saplings (Kozy Korpesh and Bayan Sulu) were planted in the student alley near the academic building.
