On April 16, the Department of Law held a regular meeting of the Academic Committee aimed at improving the educational program 6B04202 “Jurisprudence” for the 2026–2027 academic year. During the meeting, the content, structure, and relevance of the educational program were reviewed.
In the course of the discussion, issues related to the compliance of the educational program with modern labor market requirements, the level of formation of professional competencies, and the updating of the content of academic disciplines were considered. The committee members put forward a number of proposals to improve the curriculum, strengthen its practical orientation, and develop students’ legal skills.
The meeting of the Academic Committee was attended by faculty members of the department, employers, as well as student representatives, who expressed their opinions aimed at improving the quality of education. This, in turn, contributes to increasing the practical significance of the educational program and ensuring the competitiveness of graduates.
From the employers’ side, the following members of the Academic Committee participated in the development of the educational program 6B04202 “Jurisprudence”:
• Head of the Investigative Department of the West Kazakhstan Region Police Department – A.A. Salykov
• Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor of the West Kazakhstan Region, Counselor of Justice – D.E. Nursultanova
• Judge of Court No. 2 of Uralsk – H.K. Yersenova
• Head of the Personnel Department of the Penal Enforcement System – S.S. Alimbayeva
• Chairman of the Bar Association of the West Kazakhstan Region – E.N. Kaliyev
Following the meeting, specific decisions were made to improve the educational program for the 2026–2027 academic year, which are planned to be implemented in the upcoming academic process. In addition, areas of cooperation with employer organizations were identified regarding internships, practical training, and joint scientific and educational projects.
