On April 8, 2026, a meeting was held between the rectorate of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University and representatives of the Tajik State University of Commerce: A.R. Kurbonov, Candidate of Economic Sciences, associate professor, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and N.S. Salimov, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, associate professor of the Department of Digital Technologies in Economics.
The meeting was attended by B.T. Shakeshev, Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor, Rector of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, as well as vice-rectors and heads of structural divisions, which ensured a comprehensive discussion of current issues related to inter-university cooperation.
The objective of the meeting was to strengthen institutional partnership, advance academic and scientific collaboration, and align priority areas for joint activities in the medium term.
During the meeting, the participants analyzed the current state of implementation of the cooperation agreement between the universities, specified key areas for joint scientific research and academic programs, and discussed prospects for organizing joint scientific events.
B.T. Shakeshev, Rector of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, and A.R. Kurbonov, First Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Tajik State University of Commerce, emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to training highly qualified specialists who meet contemporary labor market demands. They also expressed mutual interest in expanding the formats of cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, the parties reached agreements on the development of a detailed action plan aimed at the practical implementation of the identified initiatives, as well as on maintaining regular professional interaction at the level of rectorates and specialized departments.
The meeting was conducted in a constructive and professional atmosphere, reaffirming the parties’ commitment to the further development of sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation.
