On February 10, 2026, a round table discussion on the topic “Determination of Invasive Fish Diseases Using Modern Methods” was held among students of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Technosphere Safety of the Institute of Sectoral Technologies of WKITU. Students of the educational program 6B09103 “Veterinary Medicine” took part in the event.
Participants of the round table discussed the importance of identifying invasive fish diseases using modern methods as a key approach to maintaining fish health, as well as the possibilities of early detection of parasitic diseases through microscopic analysis, molecular diagnostics, and rapid tests. The discussion also focused on how these methods contribute to disease prevention and increase the productivity of fish farming.
Students prepared reports and presentations and shared their views on the importance of diagnosing invasive fish diseases in fish of the West Kazakhstan region using modern diagnostic methods as a basis for effective prevention and safe aquaculture practices.
Innovative research methods allow for accurate and rapid detection of parasitic fish diseases. These methods make it possible to identify pathogens at early stages, prevent their spread, and reduce fish mortality. Modern diagnostics ensure the quality and safety of fish products and improve the efficiency of fisheries and aquaculture activities.
