On January 20, 2026, within the framework of the concluded Memorandums of Cooperation between WKITU and the West Kazakhstan Region Police Department, as well as the Prosecutor’s Office of the West Kazakhstan Region, working meetings were held on organizing industrial internships for graduating law students of the Department of Law (IOT).

At 10:00 a.m., in the operational meeting hall of the Police Department located at 45 Pugacheva Street, a group of 15 fourth-year students enrolled in the educational program 6B04202 “Jurisprudence” was presented at the joint meeting by the Associate Professor of the Department of Law, Candidate of Legal Sciences Rakhmetov T.Kh. From the Police Department of the West Kazakhstan Region, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Police Department for Personnel and Educational Work, Police Colonel Zhalkasov N.T.; the Head of the Operational and Criminalistic Department, Police Colonel Magzomova A.T.; the Head of the Investigation Department, Police Colonel Salykov A.A.; the Deputy Head of the Personnel and Educational Work Department, Police Colonel Tuleugalieva N.B.; as well as responsible officers of the Police Department for the city of Uralsk, representatives of the personnel service, criminal police, and the Inquiry Department.

At the meeting, chaired by the Deputy Head of the Police Department Zhalkasov N.T., all organizational issues related to effective internships for graduating law students were discussed. A desire was expressed for students to become more closely acquainted with the service and daily activities of police officers. The heads of the Police Department’s divisions who were present also spoke, outlining their requirements for students during the internship period and inviting them to their respective units.

The representative of the Department of Law, Rakhmetov T.Kh., presented the methodological guidelines developed by the department for completing internships, informed participants about the internship timelines, and requested that the heads of the Police Department’s divisions assign experienced mentors to the students. During the meeting, all students were distributed, according to their preferences, to the Investigation Department, the Operational and Criminalistic Department, the Criminal Police, and the Inquiry units of the Police Department.

Summing up the meeting, Police Colonel Zhalkasov N.T. answered students’ questions, wished them success in completing their industrial internships at the Police Department, and invited them to join the police service upon graduation.

On the same day at 3:00 p.m., in coordination with the Head of the Personnel Service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the West Kazakhstan Region, Justice Counselor Nursultanova D.E., a similar meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prosecutor of the city of Uralsk, Senior Justice Counselor Izimov M.E. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Personnel Service of this law enforcement body, Lawyer of the 1st Class Nursharipova M.B.

The Associate Professor of the Department of Law, Candidate of Legal Sciences Rakhmetov T.Kh., presented seven fourth-year law students, introduced the methodological guidelines and internship timelines, and requested the assignment of experienced mentors to the interns. The City Prosecutor Izimov M.E. outlined the requirements for students during the internship, shared recommendations based on personal experience, answered questions, and wished them success. He also invited the graduates to join the prosecutorial bodies upon completion of their studies.

As a result of the meeting, the students were assigned to complete their industrial internships in the prosecutor’s offices responsible for supervising the legality of investigation, inquiry, and operational-search activities, as well as in departments supervising the legality of court decisions in criminal and civil cases.
