On October 21, 2025, Aydyngaliyev Kayyrbek Sisenaliyevich, an instructor from the West Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the Red Crescent Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was invited to give a guest lecture to second-year students of the educational program 6B11201 “Life Safety and Environmental Protection” at the Institute of Sectoral Technologies, West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technical University (WKITU).
Kayyrbek Sisenaliyevich delivered an informative and practice-oriented lecture as part of the “Occupational Safety and Health” course, providing a detailed overview of first aid for injured individuals before medical personnel arrive. He explained how to properly assess the condition of the injured person, ensure the safety of the incident site, stop bleeding using tourniquets or pressure bandages, treat and protect wounds to prevent infection, as well as immobilize and transport the injured. Special attention was given to monitoring the injured person’s condition until the arrival of emergency services, including checking breathing, pulse, and consciousness.
The lecturer emphasized that prompt and correct response to injuries before professional medical assistance significantly increases the chances of saving a life and reduces the risk of complications. Students received practical recommendations on providing first aid for various types of injuries and learned the basic methods of accident prevention.
We sincerely thank the West Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the Red Crescent Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the lecture and look forward to continued fruitful cooperation!
