On April 22, 2025, as part of a week of events called “Great Victory: Honoring Heroism – an Example for Descendants”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, at the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, the Department of History and Law of the Institute of Education and Management, with the participation of advisers of the HIST-311 and HIST-211 groups under the educational program 6B01601 – History, a meeting was organized with the head of the tourism association of the West Kazakhstan region, Aibolat Shamuratovich Kurumbaev, on the topic “Archival data on the first monument to Manshuk Mametova”. The purpose of the event is to educate the younger generation in the spirit of true patriotism, heroism and devotion, glorifying the name of the Kazakh heroine, defender of the native land during the Great Patriotic War Manshuk Mametova, and also to contribute to our history by studying her feat. During the meeting, Aibolat Shamuratovich presented archival documents found during the study of the first monuments of the Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova to students and instructors, and shared new and valuable historical information.
