On October 13, 2023, for students of educational programs 6B01401-Physical Culture and Sports, 6B01501 – Informatics, 6B01601 – History of the Department of Social Disciplines and Physical Culture of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, a training seminar was held on the topic: “Infectious diseases and their prevention “. The training seminar was conducted by the lecturer of the specialty “Epidemiology” of the Uralsk Higher Medical College “Maksat” Zhumagalieva Gulaysa Dauletkereevna.

During the training seminar, the infectious disease specialist focused on infections that contribute to the creation of the epidemiological situation in Kazakhstan, routes of spread, and clinical characteristics. She paid special attention to ways to prevent the disease. According to her, the most important thing in preventive measures for any disease is maintaining a person’s personal hygiene, avoiding places of high concentration (mass gathering) of people during the period of acute spread of infection, and playing sports.

Paramedic of the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University Suttibaev T.S. informed students that through the DamuMed application they can make an appointment with a doctor and get advice, and also announced the start of a flu vaccination campaign.
