The Republican scientific and practical conference “Steppe Reformer – Asia”, dedicated to the 280th anniversary of Syrym Datov, organized by the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan region and the West Kazakhstan Regional Museum of Local History, was held on September 30 this year. The scientific meeting aimed to draw lessons from the fateful life of the outstanding figure of the Kazakh national liberation movement Syrym Datuly, a famous biya, orator, famous batyr who lived in the XVIII century. The conference was attended by well-known scientists, public and cultural figures of the republic. Professor of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University, Candidate of Historical Sciences Kurmanalin Samat Bakytzhanovich made a report on the topic: “Syrym Datovich and the place of the uprising led by him in the history of the Kazakh national liberation movement.” According to the scientific and cognitive conclusions of the scientist, the people honor and remember Syrym as a just biya, batyr and public figure. His morality, heroism, eloquence, and just power are still an example for the people and serve as an example for future generations.
