On October 20, 2023, professor of WKITU, Candidate of History, Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kurmanalin S.B. made a report at the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current problems of the history of Kazakhstan in the 17-th-19-th centuries: modern positions and views”, organized by East Kazakhstan University named after Sarsen Amanzholov. Topic of the scientific report: “Anti-colonial uprisings of the Kazakh people: the problem of interconnectedness.” The conference was attended by historians from Turkey, Russia and domestic universities, who presented their informative reports. At the plenary session, speakers touched upon topical issues of the chronology of Russian history. We discussed positions and new approaches in studying the history of the Kazakh people during this period.
