On September 20, 2022 at 15.00 in the conference hall of the main building of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University, the Department of Philology, Culture and Teaching Methods of the Faculty of Languages and Management held a seminar on the topic: “Innovative approaches to the formation of national values in the lessons of the Kazakh language and literature”. The seminar was attended by teachers of the schools of Uralsk, specialists-methodologists of the Ural Department of Education, teaching staff of the West Kazakhstan Innovation and Technology University (total number of participants 50 people).
The seminar began with a review of indicators, the progress of social monitoring and a brief comment on topical issues of teaching the Kazakh language and literature, which has been held since August this year. Monitoring work will continue.
Issues discussed at the seminar
* Directions of instilling national values in the organization of the educational process today;
* Effectiveness, ways to improve the quality of teaching, mastering the state language (Kazakh language) at school;
* Ways of forming state consciousness (ideology), citizenship, and a sense of patriotism.
At the scientific and methodological meeting, teachers made special reports:

At the end of the seminar, recommendations were accepted and a special questionnaire was filled out. Prominent scientists in the field of linguistics and experienced teachers, touching upon various topical issues of teaching the Kazakh language and literature, came to the conclusion that it is necessary to create joint projects in conducting educational and methodological work, improving national identity in educational work. An example of the project will be presented in the near future.
