On September 29, 2023, at the Atameken arts center, as part of the celebration of Republic Day and events dedicated to the 25-th anniversary of WKITU, the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University organized a plenary session of the International scientific and practical conference “The Teachings of Zoroaster and Central Asia: spiritual, cultural and historical continuity” dedicated to the 2600-th anniversary of Zoroastrianism.
The purpose of the conference is to study theoretical, practical and methodological problems of the heritage of the teachings of Zoroastrianism in the spirituality of the countries of Central Asia.
The plenary meeting opened with a welcoming speech from the deputy akim of the West Kazakhstan region Narymbetov Bakytzhan Khaberovich. Then the representative of the United Nations Department of Global Communications and the head of the United Nations Information Center in Kazakhstan, VLASTIMIL Samek addressed his congratulations to the conference participants.
During the plenary session, the guests of the conference made presentations: the President of the Association of Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Economics, professor Alshanov Rakhman Alshanovich, Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Social sciences, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan SEIDUMANOV Serik Turarovich, Director of the Center for Philosophy of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philosophy, professor Nurmuratov Serik Yesentaevich, chief researcher of the Institute of Philosophy, Political science and Religious studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philosophy, professor Barlybaeva Gaukhar Ginayadovna.
The leading researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Philosophy, associate professor Koyanbaeva Gulnara Romseitovna and the leading researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Philosophy, associate professor OMAROVA Gulnara Seytkarimovna joined the plenary session with reports in an online format.
During the conference, scientists from the West Kazakhstan Innovative and Technological University, Doctor of Philology, professor SABYR Murat Bukenbaevich, PhD KALMENOV Murat Dabylovich, Candidate of History, associate professor YERNAZAROV Zhaskairat Tlekkabylovich spoke to the audience.
The conference was attended by historians, heads of departments for social development, culture and language development, religious affairs, employees of archives and museums, local historians, scientists and university students and media representatives.
